The model 160 Lid Press is a bench-top unit enabling operators to apply lids to plastic containers with minimal risk of stress or other injury. Designed primarily for low output applications where the cost of fully automated equipment cannot be justified, it incorporates a (guarded) pneumatic cylinder to press home the lids with a pressure plate which may, if necessary, be shaped to suit. Construction is hygienic and corrosion resistant.

In operation the filled container is placed in a slide mounted holder, and a lid positioned manually. The slide is then pushed under the cylinder where it contacts a sensor which initiates the press cycle.

Replacement pressure plates and holders may be provided for different size containers.
